Donation & Refund Policy
This policy explains how donations made to Kashmiriyat Foundation are accepted, used and, in limited circumstances, reviewed for refund.
Last updated: 27 September 2026
1. Donations to Kashmiriyat Foundation
Kashmiriyat Foundation is a charitable trust working through community programmes, awareness initiatives and other activities intended to support communities in need.
Donations made to the Foundation are voluntary contributions and are used to support our charitable activities, programmes, operational requirements and related work.
Kashmiriyat Foundation currently accepts donations from within India only.
2. How Donations May Be Used
Unless expressly stated otherwise by Kashmiriyat Foundation for a particular campaign or initiative, donations may be allocated across the Foundation’s programmes and activities according to need and organisational priorities.
This allows the Foundation to direct resources to areas, communities and initiatives where support is most urgently required.
3. Payment Methods
Donations may be accepted through payment methods made available by Kashmiriyat Foundation, including:
- UPI
- Bank transfer
- Online payment methods processed through Razorpay
- Other approved domestic payment methods made available by the Foundation
Online transactions may be processed by third-party payment service providers and banks. Their own processing times, security procedures and transaction rules may also apply.
4. Donation Receipts and 80G
Kashmiriyat Foundation may collect information such as the donor’s name, address, email address, phone number, PAN and donation details where required for accounting, statutory reporting and issuance of applicable donation or tax documentation.
Eligible donations may qualify for deduction under Section 80G, subject to the applicable provisions of Indian income-tax law and the donor’s individual eligibility.
Donors are responsible for providing complete and accurate information where such information is required for issuance of applicable documentation.
Under applicable income-tax provisions, cash donations exceeding ₹2,000 are not eligible for deduction under Section 80G.
5. General Refund Policy
Donations are generally considered final and non-refundable because funds received may be committed or allocated towards the Foundation’s charitable activities.
However, Kashmiriyat Foundation understands that genuine payment errors can occur. A refund request may therefore be reviewed in limited circumstances, including:
- A duplicate donation made accidentally
- An incorrect donation amount entered by mistake
- A technical or payment-processing error
- Another genuine transaction error that can be reasonably verified
Submission of a refund request does not automatically guarantee that a refund will be issued. Each request will be reviewed individually.
6. Seven-Day Refund Request Period
A donor requesting review of an erroneous or duplicate donation should contact Kashmiriyat Foundation within 7 days from the date of the transaction.
Requests received after this period may not ordinarily be eligible for consideration, particularly where the funds have already been allocated or used for charitable activities.
7. Information Required for a Refund Request
To protect donors and prevent fraudulent refund requests, we may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify the original transaction.
A refund request should normally include:
- Donor’s name
- Email address or phone number used for the donation
- Date of donation
- Donation amount
- Transaction or payment reference number
- Reason for requesting the refund
- Reasonable proof of the relevant transaction where required
Kashmiriyat Foundation may request additional information where reasonably necessary to establish that the request has been made by the donor or an authorised person.
8. Review and Processing of Refunds
Refund requests will be reviewed after the Foundation receives sufficient information to verify the transaction and the reason for the request.
Where a refund is approved, we will ordinarily attempt to return the amount through the original payment method or another appropriate method where necessary.
The time required for an approved refund to appear in the donor’s account may depend on the relevant bank, UPI provider, Razorpay or other payment service provider. Kashmiriyat Foundation cannot control processing delays caused by such third parties.
Any transaction or processing charges that are non-refundable to the Foundation may, where applicable, affect the amount that can be returned.
9. Suspected Unauthorised Transactions
If you believe a donation was made using your payment method without your authorisation, please contact Kashmiriyat Foundation as soon as possible and also notify your bank or payment service provider.
Such cases may require additional verification and may be handled in accordance with applicable banking and payment provider procedures.
10. Cancellation of Donations
Once an online donation has been successfully processed, it generally cannot be cancelled automatically.
If a genuine error has occurred, the donor may submit a refund request in accordance with the procedure described in this policy.
11. Changes to This Policy
Kashmiriyat Foundation may update this Donation & Refund Policy if our donation processes, payment methods or applicable legal requirements change.
The latest version will be published on this page together with its most recent update date.
