About Kashmiriyat Foundation

At Kashmiriyat Foundation, we work on the ground with communities in the remote, often overlooked parts of Jammu & Kashmir. We believe that real change starts with simple awareness. When people have the right information, they are better equipped to make decisions, protect their health, and build a good life for their families.

Much of our work revolves around topics that are usually kept quiet—like menstrual health, mental wellbeing, child safety, and drug abuse prevention. We regularly visit schools and neighborhoods to hold open, interactive sessions. Our goal is to create safe spaces where people aren’t afraid to ask questions and talk about issues that are usually clouded by stigma or misinformation.

A major focus for us is promoting menstrual dignity. In the communities we serve, many women and girls struggle to access affordable sanitary products, let alone accurate information about their own bodies. We distribute reusable cloth sanitary pads, but we don’t just hand them out and walk away. We sit down with the women and girls to teach them how to use and care for the pads, and we talk openly about why they are a healthier, more sustainable option. We want to hand them confidence and control over their own bodies, not just a product.

Beyond menstrual health, we talk with young people about personal hygiene, mental health, and the realities of drug abuse, helping them navigate life with a clearer head. Whenever possible, we also try to connect struggling families with resources to help them through tough times.

For us at Kashmiriyat Foundation, success isn’t just about the numbers. It’s about the conversations we spark in places where these things were never discussed before. Every community visit, every question asked, and every reusable pad handed out is a step toward a future where everyone in J&K has the knowledge and dignity they deserve.

A Message from Our Founder

Kashmiriyat Foundation was founded on the belief that every individual deserves dignity, awareness, safety, and the opportunity to build a better future.
From our earliest community sessions to the initiatives we lead today, every step has reinforced one truth: meaningful change begins with people coming together with compassion and purpose.
This journey belongs not to one individual, but to every volunteer, supporter, and community member who believes that positive change is possible. Together, we continue working towards a future where every child is protected, every woman is empowered, and every family can live with hope and confidence.
